The AAL/AGT working group of the GMDS continued to work on the topic of designing Ambient Assisted Living environments in 2021. As a workshop already planned for 2020 could not be held in 2021 either, the working group switched to digital preparation in the form of a detailed survey on the status of major AAL projects in German-speaking countries. The main objective was to collect data on completed, ongoing or planned AAL installations for research purposes or in real operation. For this purpose, a corresponding survey was designed which, in addition to basic data on the projects, primarily asked about the experiences and limitations of the corresponding installations. With 17 responses, the response rate was appropriate for the complexity of the survey. The 15 installations described are now being evaluated and will form the basis of the GMDS & TMF conference workshop planned for 2022.
